Our team comprises highly experienced, highly qualified experts in various fields, including economists, engineers, scientists and financial specialists. This broad range of expertise and experience enables us to solve our customers’ challenges holistically and in a multidisciplinary fashion.
Management
Pascal Vautier
The founding member of Ompex has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector. Pascal Vautier previously worked as a trader and product developer for an international energy trader. He completed his academic education at the Universities of Basel and St. Gallen, with a Master’s degree in Economics and Financial Market Theory. Within Ompex, Pascal Vautier is responsible for Short-Term Trading and Execution as well as Human Resources.
Oliver Meyhack
Oliver Meyhack founded Ompex together with Pascal Vautier in 2006. He too has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector. After studying mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich, Oliver Meyhack worked as a trader and process developer for an international energy trader. At Ompex, he is responsible for the Long-Term Trading, Analytics Desk and IT departments. Accordingly, he has in-depth expertise in programming.
Tomo von Felten
Tomo von Felten joined Ompex as a consultant in 2013 and took over as Head of Consultancy and Distribution in 2017. He has over 10 years’ industry experience and is your contact person for energy industry topics. A business economist specialising in banking and finance, he has since 2023 been a member of the Executive Board and responsible for Distribution and Finance.Extended Management
Andreas Burger
Andreas Burger has worked as a trader and analyst on the spot market for Ompex since 2014. He specialises in setting up new trading venues and developing trading strategies. An industrial engineering graduate, he has headed the Ompex Longterm Desk since September 2022.
Philipp Wuillemin
Philipp Wuillemin graduated from the University of Fribourg in 2007 with a Master’s degree in Economics and a teaching diploma. He then joined Ompex as a trader and has headed the trading department for the short-term markets in Europe since 2013.
Dominik Wipfli
Dominik Wipfli joined Ompex in 2014 and started in the Middle Office. After two years, he switched to consulting and strengthened the department in acquisition, customer projects and development of the product range. He is also responsible for the Ompex long-term price forecast, our in-house fundamental model for the electricity market. Dominik Wipfli has headed the Portfolio Solutions department since September 2023.
Nicolas Stucki
Nicolas Stucki joined Ompex in 2012 as a portfolio manager and in this role advised energy suppliers and industrial customers on all procurement topics. In addition to this activity, he was at all times involved in the technical and conceptual development of the Ompex online platform. Nicolas Stucki has headed the new Digital Solutions division since January 2019. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Mathematics from the ZHAW in Winterthur and has brought trading experience to Ompex.
Christian Burghardt
Christian Burghardt has worked as a trader and analyst for Ompex since 2017 and in this role was responsible for developing the proprietary electricity fundamental model at Ompex. He has headed the new Analysis division since September 2021. In this role, he is responsible for developing Ompex’s in-house market models. Christian Burghardt graduated from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Grenoble INP with a double degree in Industrial Engineering and has brought energy market analysis and consulting experience to Ompex.
